One weekend morning several months ago, I ran outside to get my newspaper. Later, the family took off to run errands and we were gone for about an hour. When we got home, I realized that I’d left the front door unlocked. I think that’s the only time that’s happened since I make it a habit to check the door before leaving the house. Luckily, nothing went wrong while we were away.
Here’s the safety tie-in. Sometimes we may forget a part of our PPE, we may unintentionally go a little faster than planned while driving, or there might be another little oversight that leaves us vulnerable.
