Over the weekend, I replaced the lights in my kitchen’s vaulted ceiling, which brought back a memory of the first time or two that I place these lights. My ladder that I owned when we moved in had been adequate for previous homes, but was just barely tall enough for me to reach the highest bulbs – if I stepped where it says “NOT A STEP”. I convinced myself that, as long as I could hold onto a cabinet top, I should be fine. Later, I forced myself to buy a tall ladder after I was prescribed a medication that listed dizziness among the side effects.
